Radio One Hits the Road to Inspire African American Women During Empowerment Expos

SILVER SPRING, Md., April 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- It's been nine months since Radio One and American Express Serve® introduced  the ONE VIP™ Card from American Express Serve®. To continue to raise awareness for this money management tool and the need for financial empowerment amongst women, Radio One is hoping to reach nearly 50,000 African-American women at a series of Women's Empowerment Expos.  These Expos are being hosted this year by its leading urban radio stations in seven major markets throughout the country:

Each city's expo will include a pavilion for registered ONE VIP card members to receive giveaways and have a celebrity encounter. In select cities a Financial Empowerment symposium led by local financial experts will convene.

Costs were a significant factor for Radio One when looking for a financial partner. The ONE VIP Card from American Express Serve has a low one dollar monthly fee, which can be waived when a customer sets up direct deposit or loads $500 or more to his or her Account1.
