Radio One, Inc. Announces $100,000 Donation and Formation of The Radio One Relief Fund

WASHINGTON, Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Radio One, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROIAK; ROIA) today announced that the Company, along with its executives and employees, are donating $100,000 to aid the victims, their families and survivors and to help the relief efforts associated with the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C. Since the attacks, the Company's radio stations have been involved with blood drives throughout the country, but this donation will provide much needed financial resources to those affected by these acts of terrorism.

Additionally, the Company will be asking its listeners to make donations to the Radio One Relief Fund. According to Alfred C. Liggins, III, the Company's Chief Executive Officer, "If each of our over 10 million listeners gave just $1.00, we could have a tremendous impact on helping our fellow Americans through this very difficult time. As a national media company, we feel that it is particularly incumbent upon us to support our great nation and our President and we have every intention to do so in any way that we can."
