Radio One, Inc. Promotes L. Deon Levingston to General Manager of Its Indianapolis Cluster

Will Manage the Day-to-Day Operations of WTLC-AM, WTLC-FM, WHHH-FM, and WYJZ-FM WDNI-TV

Radio One, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROIAK; ROIA) announced today, that effective immediately, it has promoted L. Deon Levingston to General Manager of WTLC-AM 1330, WTLC-FM 106.7, WHHH-FM 96.3, WYJZ-FM 100.9 and WDNI-TV Channel 65 in the Indianapolis, Indiana market. In this position, Mr. Levingston will manage the day-to-day operations of the stations. He will report to Carl Hamilton, Vice President and Regional Manager of the Indianapolis market.

When Radio One acquired WTLC-AM and FM from Emmis Communications in February 2001, Mr. Levingston had been the Local Sales Manager of those stations for the past four years. After the acquisition, Radio One immediately promoted Mr. Levingston to Director of Sales of its five-station cluster in Indianapolis. During his term as Director of Sales, Mr. Levingston successfully merged two competing sales staffs and met the revenue budget with double digit budget increases during a down economy. Before joining Emmis in 1998, Mr. Levingston spent two years at WFXI/WYDO in Greenville, North Carolina. From 1989 to 1996, he also held account executive positions at various radio stations in and around the Indianapolis market.
