Radio One, Inc. Hires Kirk Kopic as Senior Director of Sales for 100.3 the Beat
LOS ANGELES, Jan 28, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Radio One, Inc. ("Radio One" or the "Company") (NASDAQ:ROIAK and ROIA) announced today that it has hired Kirk Kopic for its Los Angeles, California radio station KKBT-FM 100.3 The Beat. Mr. Kopic replaces Ron Turner and will oversee the sales efforts of the stations. He will report to Sue Freund, General Manager of the radio station.
Mr. Kopic is the former Senior Director of Sales for Infinity Broadcasting in Los Angeles. Prior to joining Infinity, Mr. Kopic was Vice President of Advertising Sales, for DIRECTV for almost three years and a member of the senior management team preparing that company for sale. Mr. Kopic also worked for Viacom Broadcasting in sales management for both its radio and television divisions. He once owned a hybrid broadcasting company and he also worked for Metromedia Television as Vice President of Sales of both the rep firm and Channel 11 in Los Angeles. Mr. Kopic is a member of the Los Angeles Ad Club and was recently honored with the AIEF John Frye Humanitarian Award.
