Radio One, Inc. Announces That Kathy S. Stinehour Has Been Named Vice President and General Manager of the Detroit Market

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 2008--Radio One, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROIAK and ROIA), today announced the hiring of Kathy S. Stinehour as Vice President and General Manager of Radio One Detroit. In her new role, Ms. Stinehour will oversee management and operations for each of the three Radio One Detroit stations: WHTD-FM, WDMK-FM and WCHB-AM.

Ms. Stinehour brings 25 years of radio broadcast management experience to Radio One Detroit. Most recently she spent the last three years as the President and CEO of Atlanta based Archway Broadcasting Group. There she was responsible for improving the overall financial and operating performance of Archway's 17 radio stations in Little Rock, Arkansas, Columbus, Georgia, New Bern, North Carolina, and Decatur, Illinois. Before that, she worked as Executive Vice President of Clear Channel Communications in Chicago where she realigned the operating structure of six separate radio stations to a cluster platform. Overall, the majority of Ms. Stinehour's work has been spent running AM/FM stations in Houston, New York City and Chicago.

Ms. Stinehour began her radio career in Detroit and is excited to return. Ms. Stinehour begins her new position today, Monday, April 7th, and will report directly to Bruce Demps.
